JORDAN: name of a river in the middle east, meaning "to flow down" or "to descend" - was a name ivy knew she wanted for her daughter ever since the 10th grade when she read the great gatsby. ironically, our little jordan refused to "descend" or "flow down" during labor and had to be suctioned out!

KARIS: greek for love or grace - was originally spelled as charis, but we liked this spelling because coincidentally, it is a combination of jordan's grandmothers' names - kalee and doris. |
